Interactive Pad Player v1.03
The newest version of the browser-based rhythm trainer — no download, no install, no DAW required. Open it in any browser on desktop, tablet, or phone and the patterns from the genre lessons are ready to play. Adjustable tempo, built-in metronome with volume control, and a 4-count click before every pattern. The 16-step grid lights up in real-time so you can see exactly where you're rushing or dragging. Every pattern from the six genre lessons is mapped in — from the basic boom bap pocket through to the Amen break and jazz snare comping.
PDF Notation + TuxGuitar File
Standard drum notation and tablature for every genre pattern — both formats in the same file. The notation shows the rhythmic structure on a traditional five-line staff. The tablature shows exactly which pad triggers which sound, so you can follow the exercises with your eyes on the grid rather than translating from traditional notation. The TuxGuitar file (free tablature software, similar to Guitar Pro) lets you loop individual sections, slow the tempo right down, and play along at whatever speed the pattern currently needs.
MIDI File
One MIDI file containing all genre lessons — boom bap, trap, funk, Latin and Afrobeats, drum & bass, and jazz patterns in sequence. Drag it into any DAW and every exercise is already laid out with the correct timing and velocity. Load specific sections onto your pad controller to practice individual patterns, or run the full sequence to study how the genre transitions feel at the same BPM. Velocity is programmed accurately — ghost notes are at 20–30%, main hits at full, feathered kick at 40% — so the dynamics that make each groove work are already in the file.
Drum Samples
16 drum samples covering the sonic range across all six genres. Each genre has its own character — the boom bap kick and snare sit differently to the trap 808 and ghost snare, which feel nothing like the jazz ride and feathered kick. The 16 samples are organised by sound type and genre context so you can load the right kit for the pattern you are working on, or mix across genres to hear how the same rhythmic structure sounds in different sonic contexts. All samples are clean, processed, and ready to use in any DAW or pad controller setup.
